In this blog, I wanted to expand on the financial tools in Wix and how you can make the most of them for your business.
I have been a big fan of this section for the last 2 years since Wix has been improving its features.
How I use it and how you can make the most of it too...
When I speak to a client and discuss their needs following the conversation I send them a quote. I do this in Wix. Using the template below. I simply give the quote a heading pull through the client details if they are in my Wix contacts or create a new contact.
I can setup standard services so I don't have to type new ones out all the time. The free version is branded Wix Ascend so it's up to you if you want to upgrade to have your own logo included.
I have my quote automated in 2 ways using Wix automations. It sends a reminder the day before expiry which I set at 30 days. The 2nd automation is if the quote is accepted it automatically sends an invoice. This has streamlined my onboarding process.
I use the invoices function both as automation above but I can also manually send an invoice to a client.
Invoicing is similar, you have a simple invoice template where you can pull in clients' details and add in pre-defined services. I set mine up to be manually paid directly into the bank but you can set up a payment provider like Stripe or Paypal and allow the client to click on your invoice and pay online.
Another great feature that has been recently added is the ability to set up a regular recurring payment this is great where you offer regular monthly services you want to collect with ease.
I like the fact that I can manage my invoices marking them as paid and it has allowed me to better manage my business finances. You even have the ability to integrate with financial software through third-party apps.

If you use Wix payments you can also keep track of payments and your settlement report to keep track of everything all in one place.
Another useful feature can be found under Reports and Analytics where you can view 'store sales summary' and 'transactions summary'
Wix Mobile App
Wix Mobile app also offers you the solution to send quotes and invoices via the app which can be handy when you are out and about. A few of my clients find this feature really useful.
